Next Steps in fostering Cross Innovation

TOPIC We regard cross innovation as a task for public intermediaries. We believe, that cross innovation can change the way we innovate and have a huge impact on the degree of innovation in different economic as well as public sectors. Therefore, we ask ourselves: What are the next steps in fostering cross innovation? What could sustainable innovation support look like? What is still needed at policy and administration level?

Inga Wellmann, Head of Unit Arts and Creative Industries at the Ministry of Culture and Media in Hamburg, played a crucial role in the process of elaborating the Cross Innovation Hub in Hamburg. In her session she will talk about her visions of cross innovation and the challenges and potentials that lie both within the private and the public sector.  

FORMAT In Breakout Sessions the conference participants will split into small groups of attendees to discuss specific subjects or aspects of the broad theme 'Cross Innovation'. The format offers the programme attendees an opportunity to discuss, reflect, or act upon the theme in a more intimate setting. The conference attendees will be free to choose out of five sesssios at a time which will take place in five different locations at the conference venue.
