Legal Frameworks for Cross Innovation Processes

TOPIC In cross innovation projects not only people from different sectors but also from differently structured companies are working together at eye level. It is always challenging to give these collaborations a fitting legal framework. Who is the owner of the idea? What legal security is needed, if a large company cooperates with a solo self-employed? 

There are numerous questions coming up if people work together on an idea or a prototype. It therefore requires corresponding contracts, which are detailed enough to cover the individual contributions and achievements of the parties involved and which take into account all utilization options but at the same time don't scare any of the parties involved. 

Dirk Feldmann works for the international law office “Unverzagt von Have” and has already accompanied different Cross Innovation collaborations as a lawyer. He will give an overview on legal challenges that come with Cross Innovation projects and will give insights in solution approaches.

FORMAT In Breakout Sessions the conference participants will split into small groups of attendees to discuss specific subjects or aspects of the broad theme 'Cross Innovation'. The format offers the programme attendees an opportunity to discuss, reflect, or act upon the theme in a more intimate setting. The conference attendees will be free to choose out of five sesssios at a time which will take place in five different locations at the conference venue.
